My name is Daniel. I am an outdoor person and enjoy nothing more than spending time outdoors. I love going fishing. My favorite fish are catfish. I also enjoy photography while hiking around the country side. I can't imagine not living out in the country. And along with that way of life goes my interests in gardening and do-it-yourself projects. Out of necessity I have become quite the handyman and novice car mechanic.
I have a strong background in computer programming. I am very proficient in mysql, php and perl. My main interest is in modeling and simulation of biological systems. I am in the process of learning Flash to make my simulations visually more appealing.
iSaveSeeds.com is another attempt to combine my love for programming with a hands-on outdoor hobby. And I am sure other gardeners can benefit from this as well. I've been trying to organize my seeds using spread sheets, but was never satisfied. This is an attempt to put all my seed info into a nice database and actually be able to use that data. I plan on offering this as a free service to other gardeners. My seeds are still in little containers in a shoe box. But now they are numbered and organized! And that makes me happy. :)
